Nehru Science Centre..after ages!!!

When God makes you wait he gives you the Best!

I say this because our visit to the Nehru Science Centre was surely one of the best. We’d been to this place on Friday, before which the plan had flopped thrice.

Many people made fun of me after getting to know that the plan had flopped. But I laughed at them after coming on the Friday evening, because all those who laughed at me, either had not been to place for a long time, or have never visited it even once. If you fall in either of the category, I think you should really not mind giving a visit once.

But most of the times the Science Centre is confused for Planetorium and vice versa. The same mistake we made! We took a bus from Byculla station got down at the last stop, The Planetorium. We realized the mistake after we talked to a good sandwich-wala. But since we had a plan of visiting both anyways, we checked for the shows. But to our misfortune, to watch a show in English we would have to wait for some 2 hours. So we decided to go to the science centre instead. We asked the watchman for the directions, who was a jolly good fellow, and gave in the details quite perfectly. We took a cab and finally reached the desired place.

We bought tickets for the places we were interested in looking at, and dashed in. First there were some models of the first steam engine, first electric train, first tram, etc. Further we moved out in the actual place of fun, inside The Science Centre! The only thing I did not like was, we were not allowed to take bottles inside, and in this heat, and I need it all the time.

Anyways, we went inside, the ground floor is based on some principles of energy, kinetics and such. We had interesting time there. Just a bit further was the section related to evolution of life, well which did not interest me much.

Then on the first floor was a kid’s section. Along with the kids section was attached the section of senses. That was really interesting. Many were informative with quizzes, but there was also a team quiz sort of a thing, which was also interesting as well as informative. The kid’s section has a 3-D show, it’s for 15 minutes only, and for 20/-. It was a complete Value for Money, really amazed me! We were eaten up by sharks, thrown apples at us by monkeys. It was really great!

Then the second floor was full of cool stuff related to sound. The third floor had great informative things related to light. Whereas the fourth floor was dedicated to computers and the IT world, wonderful attempt was made to make it more interactive, but did not strike much for me.

Finally completely exhausted we left the place picked up our bottles and drank water after a very long time. It gave me the same feeling which I felt after visiting the place. It was like quenching of thirst after a very long time.

:) RIDING HAPPINESS :)

Back with a bang!!! Not sure about the bang thing, but I’m surely back with a difference. Finally I’m done with my examinations, which were really mentally exhausting. Now that I’ve got some time to myself want to utilize it to the best. I want to utilize my vacation at the best! HA! Those are just damn words. I want to do nothing, I want to watch movies, I want to sleep till late afternoons, and I want to do nothing! I enjoy doing nothing, but I know I’ll be bored enough! Or I might even not get the time to do all of that.

Finally my exams have ended! I know you read it once, but I was just testing! Yeah! I’m getting a combination of feelings, just trying to sort it all out. The first feeling I get is, of course, it’s like someone took the load off my shoulders, but there’s something more to it, heart’s filling with Apprehension. The apprehension about another year-of course academic, coming to an end! Oh My God! Still unable or unwilling to swallow the bitter reality, but no other option left!

                  GULP!!!

Yeah another year came to and end, this reminds of the end of the previous year, as well as the beginning of this very year. I remember the statement, “I hope I’ve an equal or a more wonderful second year.” I think my wishes were accepted. Agreed that it wasn’t wonderful the way I’d expected it to be, but I loved it the way it was. You must be wondering, what about those sad, pessimistic poems I wrote in my previous posts, well that was just a passing moment, and it passed, and I’m happy that such a time came in my life, it came for the best for sure, after all

EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A GOOD REASON!

As I said life wasn’t going the way I’d expected, so I was a bit phobic to the change, but then I realized, it was for the best! I accepted the change! And I’m happy, happily riding along the new way!

And on this way, I’ve people who matter to me the most! I don’t even need to name them, reading this they’ll come to know; they have a place somewhere here.

Because they are RIDING HAPPINESS along with me!
