Missing you!!!!!

Where are the rains, the June is half gone, rains are supposed to take a vacation in summer and winter not in June?

It doesn’t feel like a beginning, it does not feel like a new year, it does not feel like everything is starting now and all of this just because of this silly climate. Starting of the monsoon isn’t just a beginning of a season. It means beginning of a new year.

Here I am not talking about the calendar-new year, the Jan 1st New Year, but a new academic new year. When in school, we used to buy umbrellas, new tiffin boxes, bottles, uniforms and of course new books when it either used to be gloomy or it rained. Not just school the rain also reminds me the beginning of my college life. The first year was full of apprehension? Of how would my life here be? Will I make any friends? Will there be good professors? Will I make a fool of myself? All of this! And as far as the second year goes, imagining the rain means, imagining, the apprehension of going in front of *ahem* the crushes, the plans we made for the year, the bunks and the feeling of being a senior to someone. Wow!

I am sort of feeling many things at the beginning of the third year, like the feeling of seriousness, not so sleepy lectures, feeling of being the ultimate senior, realization that this is the last year in college. But, but, but it would have been a wonderful aroma, if they were with some wet roads, wet umbrellas and wet bags! It’s been past more than half of June and there is no sign of rain, not even a drop, why? I think the way people here waste water, so, the sky is trying to save it, so that we get water at least for a living.

So the only way for the rain to fall soon would be to pray to the sky, so here I write a letter to the sky.

Dear sky,

Please, life without rains is like a parched throat; whenever we try to open it all we feel is the hoarseness. Please, please, please we want it to rain here on earth as soon as possible. We promise we won’t waste water, we’ll try and save water and tell more and more people to do so. But please let it rain, please.

Yours truly

Mumbai-ite

Vonderful...vacations!

Every morning I wake up,
I fear getting out of bed,
 and living another day,
I fear it will fade,
the memories of the last few days.

This can explain why I wake up late every morning. But, no it is also true that this feeling actually haunts me every morning. Every morning, when the morning sunshine shines on my eyes through the window I imagine myself sleeping in some dormitrory or in a hotel room with friends around and imagine one of them might wake me up now and tell me to get ready. But no, no-one comes I open my eyes, there I am laying on my bed, and refusing to get out of it. Because living another day would mean, living new memories, which means burying those memories deeper which this heart doesn't wish to do. But this is the way of life.
If my life was a movie, this would be the part of it, which I would love to rewind and watch right now.  Oh! I forgot to mention what part of my life I am talking about. Well, it was the most interesting part of my vacation, a few days before 1st may to a few days after 28th may, this complete patch being the most longest part of my vacation, and since this went good, this would be my first vacation after joining degree college that I really am going to miss.
A few days before 1st may I roamed around in Bombay, enjoyed every moment of that. Then from 1st to 11th may I'd been to my native place malwan, I was with my family, and my dear friend Shraddha had joined in, and I am really thankful to her, if it wasn't her, my visit wouldn't have been as interesting, as it was now. Sitting the boat every evening, those beaches, playing with the waves, playing cards, UNO, and of course that "Bramhan-jevan" everything, I miss it a lot. I reached home on 11th may at night, and the next night I left again for Nagpur.
From 12th may to 28th may I was with friends we attended a camp and also did some site-seeing. It was one of the most memorable trip ever. I enjoyed a lot. I made new friends, a lot more new friends. Never thought I would be having such a wonderful vacation. 15 days flew away just like that. Every day has millions of memories to be treasured. The fun i had! Oh! don't ask! Words and time both will fall short to explain it. We've tried to capture most of it in a camera! But others are in my mind, and as said previously now I've to enclose them and bury it deeply in my mind.
After 28th meeting my family, my best friends was again such a wonderful experience. So, as i said a few days before 1st may to some days after 28th may, were one of the best times of my life. And i really fear burying them deep. But now I think, just like wine, they'll taste better with time :)

When You Don't Have An Answer...

Questions....
Easy, Difficult, Obvious, Stupid.
But,
Questions will be Questions.
Questions are very Good When you know the answer, they are interesting when you think over it and you come to an answer, questions are stupid when you never think this could possibly be an answer. But questions are full of quest, when you can never come to an answer.  How much ever you think about them, look around for an answer, you hardly come to one. There's no book that holds all these answers, but books having the writers their own experiences over such answers. But most of the time, many experiences just confuses us even more.
Such are the questions of life. Life has been putting such questions on us, all the time. How hard we try to find an answer, we just can't. These questions are not right or wrong, these are just answers, respective to the situations. The answers to these questions come on their own, they dawn upon us suddenly, at just the right time. It's alright if we don't worry about them, but still we do. Life teaches us most of the time, through these questions. The questions are better left unanswered. It's like when you are thinkin hard over a name you can't recollect, but you still can't, and when you stop thinking about it, bang there comes the answer to your mind, similiarly these answers come to us, when we least expect it, but at the right time. But this curious human mind, just loves to linger over it, think over it, and try to get an answer to it. To the questions of life.

Nehru Science Centre..after ages!!!

When God makes you wait he gives you the Best!

I say this because our visit to the Nehru Science Centre was surely one of the best. We’d been to this place on Friday, before which the plan had flopped thrice.

Many people made fun of me after getting to know that the plan had flopped. But I laughed at them after coming on the Friday evening, because all those who laughed at me, either had not been to place for a long time, or have never visited it even once. If you fall in either of the category, I think you should really not mind giving a visit once.

But most of the times the Science Centre is confused for Planetorium and vice versa. The same mistake we made! We took a bus from Byculla station got down at the last stop, The Planetorium. We realized the mistake after we talked to a good sandwich-wala. But since we had a plan of visiting both anyways, we checked for the shows. But to our misfortune, to watch a show in English we would have to wait for some 2 hours. So we decided to go to the science centre instead. We asked the watchman for the directions, who was a jolly good fellow, and gave in the details quite perfectly. We took a cab and finally reached the desired place.

We bought tickets for the places we were interested in looking at, and dashed in. First there were some models of the first steam engine, first electric train, first tram, etc. Further we moved out in the actual place of fun, inside The Science Centre! The only thing I did not like was, we were not allowed to take bottles inside, and in this heat, and I need it all the time.

Anyways, we went inside, the ground floor is based on some principles of energy, kinetics and such. We had interesting time there. Just a bit further was the section related to evolution of life, well which did not interest me much.

Then on the first floor was a kid’s section. Along with the kids section was attached the section of senses. That was really interesting. Many were informative with quizzes, but there was also a team quiz sort of a thing, which was also interesting as well as informative. The kid’s section has a 3-D show, it’s for 15 minutes only, and for 20/-. It was a complete Value for Money, really amazed me! We were eaten up by sharks, thrown apples at us by monkeys. It was really great!

Then the second floor was full of cool stuff related to sound. The third floor had great informative things related to light. Whereas the fourth floor was dedicated to computers and the IT world, wonderful attempt was made to make it more interactive, but did not strike much for me.

Finally completely exhausted we left the place picked up our bottles and drank water after a very long time. It gave me the same feeling which I felt after visiting the place. It was like quenching of thirst after a very long time.

:) RIDING HAPPINESS :)

Back with a bang!!! Not sure about the bang thing, but I’m surely back with a difference. Finally I’m done with my examinations, which were really mentally exhausting. Now that I’ve got some time to myself want to utilize it to the best. I want to utilize my vacation at the best! HA! Those are just damn words. I want to do nothing, I want to watch movies, I want to sleep till late afternoons, and I want to do nothing! I enjoy doing nothing, but I know I’ll be bored enough! Or I might even not get the time to do all of that.

Finally my exams have ended! I know you read it once, but I was just testing! Yeah! I’m getting a combination of feelings, just trying to sort it all out. The first feeling I get is, of course, it’s like someone took the load off my shoulders, but there’s something more to it, heart’s filling with Apprehension. The apprehension about another year-of course academic, coming to an end! Oh My God! Still unable or unwilling to swallow the bitter reality, but no other option left!

                  GULP!!!

Yeah another year came to and end, this reminds of the end of the previous year, as well as the beginning of this very year. I remember the statement, “I hope I’ve an equal or a more wonderful second year.” I think my wishes were accepted. Agreed that it wasn’t wonderful the way I’d expected it to be, but I loved it the way it was. You must be wondering, what about those sad, pessimistic poems I wrote in my previous posts, well that was just a passing moment, and it passed, and I’m happy that such a time came in my life, it came for the best for sure, after all

EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A GOOD REASON!

As I said life wasn’t going the way I’d expected, so I was a bit phobic to the change, but then I realized, it was for the best! I accepted the change! And I’m happy, happily riding along the new way!

And on this way, I’ve people who matter to me the most! I don’t even need to name them, reading this they’ll come to know; they have a place somewhere here.

Because they are RIDING HAPPINESS along with me!
